The 5th Annual Conference on Energy Economics and Management (also the 8th Workshop on Development and Utilization Strategy of Energy Resources) was held successfully from July 25th to July 28th 2014 in Beijing. The meeting was organized by Department of Management Sciences, NSFC and Chinese Society for Energy Economics of SCOPE; and hosted by Centre for Energy and Environmental Policy Research, BIT and School of Management and Economics, BIT.
There were many scholars in energy economics and management area who were from more than 100 higher education institutions and research institutes attended and participated in the opening ceremony of the Conference. Prof. Yi-Ming Wei who is the Vice President of the Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economic Mathematics (OOPEM), President of Chinese Society of Energy Economics and Management of OOPEM, the Dean and Professor of the School of Management and Economics, BIT hosted the opening ceremony of the Conference.
The Conference was themed to "green economic development and climate: study on management and policy" and consisted of special reports, thematic reports, the breakout report.
The Conference also awarded the Chinese Energy Economy and Management Outstanding graduate student Paper. Zhi-Fu Mi ,Current Ph.D Candidates, who is from CEEP-BIT, got the first prize.
