Publishing giant Elsevier announced the list of 2016 Most Cited Chinese Researchers on 27 February 2017. Prof. Yi-Ming Wei from Beijing Institute of Technology and Prof. Zhou Peng from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, were among the 73 researchers in Energy.
Elsevier is a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services. The influence of a researcher is measured significantly based on the number of citations of all his or her articles. 2016 Elsevier Most Cited Chinese Researchers was based on its database Scopus, which is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature, covering scientific journals, books and conference proceedings. The database has a comprehensive overview of the world's research output in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities.
